Rudy Peters

Rudy L. Peters Jr. (born June 17, 1962) is a founder and co-owner of AARD Solutions, LLC (www.aardsolutions.com), a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Founded in 2013, the company specializes in Systems Engineering and targets U.S. Government Intelligence agencies.

Rudy and his wife Cindy have three children and have resided in Livermore, CA since 1991. Peters is a middle school volunteer basketball and softball coach and an active competitor in the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) San Francisco Region. He is also an active Amateur Radio Operator (KA3QWL) and a member of the Granada Baptist Church. Peters served on the Livermore California Human Services Commission and has been very active in local youth sports and in the Livermore Unified School District for over 20 years.

Early life, Education, and Career

Peters was born in Grants, New Mexico and raised in Huntington, West Virginia. Peters was a standout athlete who was very active in scouting and High School Key Club where he had a great mentor who helped honed his leadership skills.  Peters graduated from Vinson High School in 1980 and then attended Marshall University. Peters has an undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems with Masters course work in System Engineering from George Washington University. 

Peters enlisted in the United States Navy and worked under the Navy Security Group Activity (NSGA) and Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) focusing on Intelligence.  Peters rose through the ranks quickly gaining the respect of his sailors and command staff.  Peters transferred to the U.S. Navy Active Reserves (USNR) in 1987.  On his release from active duty, he accepted a position as a Test & Evaluation Manager for a small U.S. defense company. 

In 1990 Peters transferred to Sunnyvale, CA, where he worked for Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, Sierra Nevada Corporation, and Sandia National Laboratory.  Peters has held several leadership positions from Systems Engineer to Program Director and has managed highly sensitive U.S. defense programs in excess of $100M. Peters has held an active Top-Secret Clearance for 30+ years.

As a father, youth mentor, enlisted officer, defense expert, and successful entrepreneur, Rudy's goal is to bring his depth of experience to the public sector to promote individual freedom and enable economic success for all California citizens.
